Start
from ST.XAVIER’S SCHOOL, DURGAPUR 6 at 8.00 a.m..—Luxury Video Coach
§
Stop
at Muchipara 8.05 am – boarding point
§
Tiffin
Packet Breakfast and Mineral water Bottle will be provided.
§
Pick
up point at Science City Kolkata, scheduled time around 11.15 a.m.
§
Buffet
Lunch will be provided at around 2 p.m. at SONAKHALI on Launch
§
Tour
will start on Launch from SONAKHALI around 2.30 p.m..
§
Destination GOSABA at around 4 p.m., will visit Sir
Hamilton Bungalow, Rabindra Nath Tagore’s Rest House and Anukul Chandra Ashram
§
Next
destination PAKHIRALOY (Evening Snacks
and Coffee will be served at
around 5.30 p.m.

Last
destination HOTEL for night stay. At hotel, there will be a COLOURFUL MUSICAL
DRAMA based on SUNDERBAN will be presented by Local Artists.

email the form also. Incomplete forms with relevant details not filled in may
cause problems later on for which XAVEX will not be responsible.

The
trip will be possible only if there are at least 4o heads registering. In case
the total number of people registering by 30th September 2013 falls
short of 40, the trip will have to be cancelled and the money paid will be
returned to the contributors.
§
Hotel
Accommodation ---- The accommodation
will be in double occupancy rooms to be shared by three people. For a family
(couple with one child), a room with double occupancy will be provided.
§
The
timings stated are tentative and there may be deviations from the time stated
for unforeseen circumstances.
§
There
cannot be any claim of refund in part or full if the trip is organized [ i.e.
once there are 40 or more people registering]. The full money will however be
refunded if the trip is cancelled for any unforeseen situations.

Our New Captain
The new Headmaster of St.Xavier's School
Durgapur is Rev. Fr. Zenith William s.j. He becomes the ex officio
President of the Alumni Association. In a humble ceremony, the Executive
Committee of the Association inducted the new Father into his
office. Photo shows the EC Members from L to R : Mr.Sandip Guha Roy,
Mr. Subir Dubey, Fr.Zenith William s.j., Dr.Arindam Mitra, Dr.Kalyan

TEACHERS’ FELICITATION DEFERRED
TEACHERS’
FELICITATION DEFERRED
The
total collection for Teachers’ Felicitation from the alumni is Rs109004/- [Rs
One lakh nine thousand and four only] on date. The estimated budget for the
programme was Rs 3 lakhs as fixed in the AGM held in January 2013 at school.
Under such circumstances, the felicitation to the teachers from the alumni [originally slated for the 1st May 2013] has
to be deferred to a later date till the funds are generated. The probable date is
the next reunion in January 2014. The final details of the felicitation will be
available after a decision is taken by the Executive Committee. The funds at
hand are in the savings account earmarked separately for use exclusively for the
Teachers’ Felicitation , whenever that happens.
A list
of all contributors to the Teachers’ Felicitation is ready and is constantly
upgraded with every contribution that comes in.
Those
of you who have contributed towards Teachers’ Felicitation but have not sent an
email are requested to send in an email to xavex.dgp@gmail.com
stating the date of their contribution, so that we can send a confirmatory
email acknowledging your payment. We have sent emails confirming contributions
to most of the contributors. Money receipts for individual contributions are
also ready.
Let’s
hope that we reach our target of 3 lakhs soon.

Rush your contributions
The contributions for the Teacher's
Felicitation will be accepted till about the 14th of April 2013. After
that it may not be possible to accept contributions. We need time to fix
up the Felicitation process slated for the 1st May. Hurry up guys who
have not yet contributed!!
